So many exciting projects in the works! Let’s explore a few:

Original Education Curriculum

Though it should *always* be in vogue, hand-washing is having an especially extended moment in the spotlight these days. RandEm Productions is proud to present a new children's coloring book character who will be flying into classrooms and senior living facilities this fall. His name? Owlbert. His mission? Teach you the importance of hand-washing à la his special hand-washing-focused curriculum created by myself and Mary Jane Kefalas (AKA my RN mom).

“When I Was Home” - An animated short film

Currently in its early stages of animation, “When I Was Home” is a silent, animated short film which follows the simple life of a house as it becomes a home. Written, directed, and produced by moi with the incredible help of a team of SCAD alumni, this film is near and dear to my heart, because each scene bears an autobiographical quality with it.

“delivery” - an animated short film

Also self-written, directed, and produced, this animated short takes a look at the lives of three mice families living on separate continents. Thanks again to the phenomenal talent of a team of SCAD alumni, “Delivery” is coming together exquisitely and on track to be complete in mid-to-late 2020.

Animated Television Pilots

“Uni”

I wrote the screenplay for “Uni” while getting my hair done, and the film’s progress, from visual development through animation, has styled a similar whimsy since. In addition to writing the script, I am also directing and producing this film with the amazing support of my team of SCAD animators and artists.

Visual development, animation, and cleanup were all done by the incomparable Raghav Arumugam, a fellow SCAD alumni and Los Angeles transplant.

“Play Town”

Follow a family enchanted by a magic act gone awry as they start a new business: a surrealist theme park as weird and whimsical as they are. This concept and story is completely my own. I wrote its teasers and pilot, both of which can be read upon request, and the link for the show’s first teaser, created with the phenomenal team at Cartoon Hooligans, can be viewed with just a quick click! After you take it in, read the full pilot below.

playwriting

“Replay”

After reading a column about how women are treated in sports announcing, I felt a calling, if you will, to write a show play about a female rookie sports announcer and her experience calling her first collegiate football game. With the support of the Manhattan Repertory Theater’s play production program, “Replay” ran for three successful performances at Shetler Studios in Midtown Manhattan October 18th-20th, 2019. To view the show’s third performance as recorded by its director Ken Wolf, click the above image. If you wish to read the show’s script, please drop me a line!

Other Animated Projects

“The Tub”

Written, directed, and produced by myself, this short film brings the analogy of "your life is like a tub" to animated life thanks to the animation team at Kasra Design. Special story credit also goes to fellow SCAD alumni Jack Rinderknecht and Caitlin Schrader (co-producer).

“Traffic Jam!”

After a visit to the doctor’s office, I was inspired to write, direct, and produce this animated short explaining the basics of physiology. Visual development and animation were both done by fellow SCAD alumna Aleyna Moeller (aleynamoeller.com). I’m grateful to Jamie Larkin for providing the music composition and Alexa Harzan (alexaharzan.com) for her fantastic VO work.
